A collection of self-reflecting tracks, Winn Rose presents
her self-produced debut album “so far”

On Friday August 23rd, 2024, indie alt pop singer-songwriter Winn Rose is set to release her debut album “so far”, following the release of lead singles “deep dive”, “Rough”, and “in love anyway” in 2023. An eclectic mix of operatic landscapes and calming lo-fi melodies, this album was initially conceptualised as part of a final project for her university degree, setting out to create a new body of work encompassing what she had learned during her time there as well as the years prior. This body of work explores going through life as a young neurodivergent adult, growing out of friendships, the turbulence of love, and finding peace in nature throughout the journey.

This album is the ultimate display of vulnerability for me to date,” Winn Rose says, “in the sense that I had to uncover so many repressed emotions and really feel them, it was so cathartic and I hope that others get that relief as well, listening to the album.

Largely self produced, Winn Rose worked with rising RnB songwriter/producer EMEREE (“Leave You Like A Man”, “Smooth Honey”), as well as a local pop, punk, and rock musician and producer Brad Jackson (Jacqui Lumsden, Emma Yue) to fine tune production and engineering techniques that brought the album to life. Taking inspiration from alt pop songstresses Ruelle, Chelsea Cutler, and Lizzy McAlpine, she combined operatic strings and organic elements to curate the track list. 2023 lead singles “deep dive”, “Rough” and “in love anyway” garnered notable praise from publications such as Happy Mag, Lost in the Manor, and Existential Magazine for her remarkable writing prowess blended with her crafted melodies.

Celebrating the release of the album, Winn Rose will be headlining her album release at The Gaso Upstairs on Sunday August 25th, 2024, supported by SORCHA and Emma Yue. Make sure to keep an eye out for when “so far” drops on Friday August 23rd, 2024.
